Came across this via Femail today - and find this truly incredible!
Belgian artist Isabelle de Borchagrave's collection of 'Pret-a-Papier', displays extravagant 17th
century gowns made entirely from paper which is
manipulated and painted.
Throughout the Hillwood Estate Museum in Washington, DC these elaborate designs have been
cut, glued, painted, braided, ruffled, crumpled and folded onto a wire
frame to create the perfect illusion of elaborate brocade, lace, and
silk.
Am-a-zing.
