A little inspiration....

Some funky festival looks to get me in the mood for tomorrow. How awesome does Dita look?

Love the boho 60's festival style myself. However, I tend to pull off a 'just got out of bed drunk scarecrow' look.

Must work on that.

Have a fabulous weekend everyone!

The girl looks good

This is not the first time I have posted about Emma Watson (AKA Hermione Grainger from Harry Potter fame) and it will by no means be the last.

Just gawp at these latest shots for Teen Vogue, Emma looks beautiful, British and stunning.

Taken by incredible photographer Norman Jean Roy, I think they capture her elegance and warmth too. Not only do I like how she looks, I like what she thinks....
.........."I'm young, so I'm still experimenting. But I think my style is quite British and very much about individuality."

"There's nothing interesting about looking perfect—you lose the point. You want what you're wearing to say something about you, about who you are."

I am so enjoying watching this young girl evolve and set the standard for English Actresses.

Sheer Magic!

Top 10 Tuesdays

This weekend it is my very FIRST Glastonbury Festival experience!!

I'm getting very excited, and praying for sunny weather. None of this knee-deep-in-mud-and-rain business please Mr Weatherman!

I'm also loving the festival laid back fashions appearing in mags and shops, so today's top 10 is all about looking the part as well as enjoying the camping, and music, and beer tent, and sunsets, and dancing, and singing!

cannot.wait.to.see.this.film.

These pictures have really wet my appetite for the upcoming Alice in Wonderland from brilliant mastermind Tim Burton and the legendary Mr Depp.

Alice in Wonderland is one of all my all time fave adventure stories and combining that with the Gothic, offbeat, originality that Burton brings to his films it's sure to be fantastic.

And Johnny Depp is rather beautiful.

Always helps.

A Reason, a Season & a Lifetime

I saw this. I read it. I liked it.

Now I'm sharing it with you fine folk. Enjoy.

" People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.
When someone is in your life for a REASON, it's usually to meet a need you have expressed.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrong doing on your part, this person will bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they force you to take a stand.
Their work is done.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it's because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done.

They give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it, it's real!

But only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons;

things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Accept the lesson, love the person and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life.

It is said that love is blind but friendship is clairvoyant."

Top 10 Tuesday

Last Week I watched a supremely funny film at the cinema, The Hangover. It had me laughing from start to finish, yes, even at the inappropriate parts.

It reminded me of how much I love Vegas and how I can't wait to go back there in September!

So, Today's Top 10 is a salute to the Spirit of Sin City.

If the shoe don't fit......

Today at work I managed a spectacular display of humiliation.

I was power walking down the corridor to beat the girl who hogs the photocopier, when the flip flop on my right foot literally snapped.

I kept walking, felt carpet beneath my feet and realised with horror that the flip flop was laid like road kill in the middle of the floor about two metres behind me.

I tried to act casual and return to the ridiculous excuse of a shoe, and sighed as I approached it, as it so clearly dawned on me I, of course, do not carry around spare shoes in my handbag.

I spent the last hour of work, hobbling around the busy, bustling offices with a dead flip flop MASKING TAPED to my right foot.

NOT a good look people.

The moral of the story?

Don't ever wear shoes that came free with last months summer magazine edition.

How was your day?

Dear Celebs

Dear Hollywood A-Lister ladies,

Us mere mortals look at you up on the big cinema screen in awe of your talent, your beauty, your presence.

We drool over your attire in the magazines, are inspired from your characters and take in torn out pictures of your latest hair colour and whine to our bored-to-tears hairdressers that we want the same honey toned streaks to accent our facial features as they do yours.

(that just me then?!)

So, when we get in deep and meaningful chats with our girlfriends/sisters/mothers/boyfriends and they ask me that classic, fun filled question.

"Who would you want to play you in the movie of your life?"

I then get to choose from a bevvie of beauties to match my look, style and overall personality.

hmmmm, think long and hard.
Which actress could portray my turbulant teen years? My experiments with make up and style? My many break ups and make ups? My career disasters? My tears , my joy?

I have narrowed it down to you four lovely ladies......
Heather , Alicia, Kate and Reece.

I picked you because I either get told I look similar to you, act like a character you have portrayed or I just plain adore you .

I would be honoured if you would play me in the imaginary movie of my life, which will premiere......never.

But its fun to play though right?!

So - WHO WOULD YOU PICK!??

Top 10 Tuesdays

Carrie Bradshaw calls it her SSB (Secret Single Behaviour), I just call it my secret loves. The things I smile to myself sneakily when I am alone because I love them, I just don't wanna announce it to the train that I watch Crossroads with a face mask on when I have a night away from the boyf!

Come on, admit it, we all have little guilty pleasures in our own company!? right?

So in a bout of honesty, here are mine for today's Top 10 Tuesday..... but shhhhhh, it's our little secret. okay?!

1. The HOFF. I flippin' love him.I just think of him and I smile. I watch Baywatch re-runs. I have his single 'jump in my car' . Yes. I'm serious. Who doesn't love the HOFF!???

2. I am a SCRABBLE freak. Love it. Words are cool dontcha know!? (scrabble earrings from supercutefactory)

3. Photoshopping my own face onto CELEBS when I'm bored. It literally never gets dull.

4. Sludgy, gloopy FACE MASKS and cucumber eyes. yes its stereotypically girly, but I love 'em!

5. CROSSROADS with Britney. I'm sorry, hands up, surrender, I secretly like this film.

6. Colouring in!! When I'm on the phone, when I watch TV, grab me some CRAYOLA's and watch me go!

7. OH MY. Kit Kat chunky's. Discovered them age 14. Had to ban myself from eating them 8 years because I was so addicted to them and starting gaining weight rapidly from supreme kit kat chunky obsession. Still like to eat them alone to truly enjoy them. Must be eaten in the correct manner. Bite off all chocolate on the outside edges first. mmmmmmmmmmmm.

8. TRASHY knickers. my underwear drawer would put a stripper to shame.

9. Playing old records loudly when I'm trying on clothes for a night out. Billie Holiday, The Beatles, The Monkees, Frank Sinatra - they help me get in the mood.

10. FAUX fur rugs/throws/cushions. I don't care if they look tacky, they feel great and I love them and they are NOT just for porn stars bedrooms on CRIBS. fact. (throw from madeinchina)

So, what are your secret loves?!
